Play Event at Holmes Run Park on September 25th
The Alexandria's Parks and Recreation department now has the new equipment purchased from the Spruce Up Grant for Holmes Run Park Tot Lot and it should be installed by September 22nd.
The Alexandria Childhood Obesity Action Network (A-COAN) and the Project Play Task Force have planned an evening of play in the park on Tuesday, September 25th from 5:00-6:30 pm to highlight the new enhancements from the Spruce Up Grant and to encourage the neighborhood to come out and play!
All families are invited to attend the event for free. We will have kids' activities and light refreshments. Please see the attached flyer for all the details.

Personal Property Tax Bills Mailed
The City of Alexandria has mailed 2012 Vehicle Personal Property Tax Bills to all registered vehicle owners.
If you own a vehicle registered within the City of Alexandria, and have not received a bill by September 15, 2012, please contact the City to request a duplicate bill.
Payments are due on Friday, October 5, 2012.

VDOT informational session on 3/29, regarding the planned HOV ramp
This Thursday, March 29th, starting at 7:00 p.m., VDOT will participate in an informational meeting in the auditorium at Minnie Howard School, to discuss the planned HOV ramp at Seminary Road. This is a chance to find out what's happening on this issue, and to get answers to any questions you might have. More information can be found here.
